In 21 century, the British literature is at it’s one of the peak time of quick development in creativity and diversity.
The Cultural and Education section of the British Consulate General introduces new British literature to China every year; British writers were invited to workshops, forums to collaborate with Chinese writers and exchange literature knowledge with Chinese fans.
Form September 26 to 27 The Cultural and Education section of the British Consulate General is in collaboration with “White night” bar in Chengdu to host a literature event of poetry – “Chinese and English in between – UK China poetry salon”
As one of the three most important poetry cities in contemporary China, Chengdu boasts a long poetry tradition and plays a key role in the “third generation” poetry movement since there are always numerous poets and poetry enthusiasts gathering in this city.
Three cutting edge British poets Francesca Beard, Aoife Mannix, Luke Wright together with three Chinese poets from Chengdu to exchange and communicate through the language of poem as well as share the discussion of literature culture with different background to general public.
